Sour mesh tank Jouza Hookah in Bandung: the review shortlist
Sour in Bandung: 10 units tested over 6 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for Bandung.
Coil life, liquid cost and the sour habit
A sour mesh tank from the reviewed options in Bandung costs about Rp2.5 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
We run sour the same way in Bandung: same mesh tank, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the mesh tank you buy decides how long sour tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a sour mesh tank really costs in Bandung
Sour prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Bandung that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within Rp2.5 per 10 ml.
How we tested sour in a mesh tank
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Indonesia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Coil type inside the mesh tank, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a sour bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a mesh tank arrives sealed but wrong.
Where sour goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long sour in Bandung survives.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sour tastes flat after two days.
- Chasing a discount on a mesh tank that then needs an adapter nobody in Bandung stocks.
