Licorice RDA Jouza Hookah in Bandung: the flat shortlist
Licorice in Bandung: 21 units tested over 8 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for Bandung.
Coil life, liquid cost and the licorice habit
If you are looking at licorice in Bandung, the first question is not strength. It is whether the RDA you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
We run licorice the same way in Bandung: same RDA, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: licorice in Bandung works if the RDA, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a licorice RDA really costs in Bandung
Licorice in a RDA is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Bandung the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested licorice in a RDA
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Indonesia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 5–10 business days.
- Pick the RDA that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Coil type inside the RDA, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every licorice bottle shipped into Bandung.
Where licorice goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ignoring the batch date on a RDA and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Buying the cheapest RDA available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
