Licorice pen device Jouza Hookah in Bandung: the deals shortlist
Licorice in Bandung: 9 units tested over 2 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Bandung.
Where buyers go wrong with licorice in Bandung
The honest read on licorice: 9 units through the same routine over 2 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
We run licorice the same way in Bandung: same pen device, same 2 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long licorice tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a licorice pen device really costs in Bandung
Licorice in a pen device is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Bandung the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested licorice in a pen device
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 5–10 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Indonesia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Batch code and production date, so a licorice bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Indonesia, not a suggestion.
- Stock depth: 9 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where licorice goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long licorice in Bandung survives.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why licorice tastes flat after two days.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Indonesia restricts vapes and applies local excise rules on liquid.
Retail sales in Indonesia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
How long does licorice in a pen device last?
In Bandung we measured 2 to 9 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does licorice taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the licorice blend itself harsh.
How much does a pen device cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Bandung: about Rp2.07 per 10 ml liquid plus Rp33 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
