Coil life, liquid cost and the citrus habit
The honest read on citrus: 9 units through the same routine over 4 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
If you are looking at citrus in Bandung, the first question is not strength. It is whether the refill pack you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
The short version: citrus in Bandung works if the refill pack, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a citrus refill pack really costs in Bandung
The honest read on citrus: 9 units through the same routine over 4 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested citrus in a refill pack
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Indonesia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 5–10 business days.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a citrus bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the refill pack, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every citrus bottle shipped into Bandung.
Where citrus goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest refill pack available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long citrus in Bandung survives.
- Treating the advertised Rp55 entry kit as the real cost when refills run Rp3.34 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here

Yes, tracked to 5–10 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.

Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the refill pack units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the citrus blend itself harsh.
